The workshop studio at Chippy Flower Farm is an intimate, tranquil space at the far edge of the flower farm, with sweeping views across the Little Tew valley.  Come and cultivate new skills, or elevate existing ones, in a unique Cotswolds setting.

Living wreath workshop at Chippy Flower Farm

Crafting with nature’s bounty, in our tranquil studio at the flower farm. We’ll guide you through each step to make a living spring wreath using spring bulbs and seasonal foliage, woven on to a mossed willow base.  All materials grown on the farm and provided, plus coffee, tea and brownies.

Expressive Flower Painting (Watercolours), with Melanie Wright

The Studio at the flower farm is filled with natural light. For this workshop, seasonal flower arrangements in our signature wild and loose style, will be ready for you to paint under the expert guidance of watercolour specialist Melanie Wright.  Starting with an introduction and a demonstration of how to use watercolour in an expressive way, Melanie will be on hand throughout the morning, to help you develop your own unique response.

Some basic experience with watercolour painting and drawing is helpful; if you are complete beginner, just let us know.

Light refreshments and high quality 200lb weight watercolour paper is provided. Feel free to bring your existing watercolour materials, or if starting from scratch, we will email you a list of suggested materials and suppliers. SOLD OUT.

  • Melanie is a professional artist/ art tutor, based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. Trained at Heatherleys School of Fine Art in London, she is well known for her atmospheric landscape and equestrian painting. With many years experience, painting and exhibiting her work throughout the UK, Melanie also paints and teaches workshops for small groups, at her studio and inspiring venues, including the Cotswolds, Newmarket, London, Yorkshire and Cornwall. ‘I delight in working with living form, seeking and catching the essence or spirit, in an expressive and fluid manner, whether this be landscape, gardens, flowers, or the presence and movement of animals. Pick and make a hand-tie bouquet with us at Chippy Flower Farm

To celebrate a special occasion or just for a moment of floral therapy, come in to the inner sanctum at the flower farm, where we will show you how we select and then harvest from our cutting fields.  We’ll then take our flower buckets to the studio and guide you in making them into a hand-tied bouquet.  All materials and light refreshments provided. 

Private workshops

We would be delighted to run a tailored floristry or gardening workshop session for individuals or groups of friends. Do get in touch to discuss.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the workshop date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days but more than 10 working days prior to the workshop date are eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 10 working days of the workshop date.
